Producer- Nathalie Guillaume Also know as Nati Dred, this young Haitian advocate has a true passion for music, literature, art, science, nature and fashion. Born and raised in Port-au-Prince, Haiti, she left her hometown to attend the University of Miami in 2002 where she received a Bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry, Foreign Literature and a minor in Music Performance. An activist in the Haitian community, Nati works with many youth organizations in Haiti and Miami to teach children and parents the importance of a well-rounded education where music and art work hand in hand with academia. Currently a graduate student, this scientist, poet, musician and visual artist, reinstates the concept of Renaissance in today’s fast pace world. Executive Producer- Richard Pierre Louis Some know him as Pitha Dred, others know him as Pawoli, but most of us know him as Coach Peter. This culture guru is a dedicated activist who concentrates on the athletic emancipation of the Haitian youth. With his experience as a radio host and event promoter, he brings all the knowledge of Haitian culture with exclusive references that he has been collecting since his teenage years. The quiet storm behind popular local drum circles, and local festivals such as Zakafest and Boujon Racine, Pitha stands firm in the battle to unite the Diaspora community via rooted expression of traditions. Associate Producer Magdala Orelus No one has more love for children than this kid at heart, mostly known as Maggie Boo among friends. She is an educator at North Miami Senior High where she coordinates an after school program, put in place to reinforce academic discipline within children from ages 4-12. Her expertise in infant massage therapy brings Haitian folk life medicine to life, as she is very aware of the problems the youth faces due to lack of health care needs. An established hairstylist, she enjoys bringing the creativity of beauty to life with a healing hand and a conscious attitude. |
